The purpose of the French Academy is to promote the learning of French, make French and Francophone culture known and promote cultural diversity, this academy is run by the Alliance Française of San Cristóbal de las Casas.
The advantages of studying French:

- French is the official language in 29 countries
- French is one of the languages of international relations and in international organizations (UN, UNESCO, …) and is most widely spoken in the tourism sector
- It is a common language in arts, gastronomy, music etc.
Learning French at ASFC allows the students to have more job options, opportunities to travel (such as exchanges, au pair programs) and in general, learning another language allows them to grow their baggage of cultural knowledge.
In our French academy lessons, students will be able to develop the six skills equally (oral / written interaction, oral / written production and oral / written comprehension), acquiring communication skills that allow them to interact in French in situations of daily life, as well as in school and work. In addition, the possibility of certifying knowledge in the French language will be offered, through the internationally recognized DELF certification, for all audiences at the end of each level.
