One of the happiest and most anticipated days of the year at the American School is without a doubt
the celebration of children’s day, where laughter and joy were heard throughout the School, with all students,
from the smallest in day care to the ones in Upper primary, having a blast.
Due to the pandemic, in the last two years we weren’t able to celebrate the day as dynamically and as energetically as is customary for ASFC, but this year the moms that make up our great PTA team took on the task of organize a fantastic event and with the active participation of all the community.
Upon arrival, the children were greeted with a colorful entrance and a photo booth with the circus and clowns theme. They had the opportunity to take happy 360 videos with their friends; all sorts of dances could be seen and loud laughter could be heard!
Delicious food, snacks, popsicles and little toys were gifted to each group, ensuring that every boxed lunch would bring joy to each child.
Among the entertainment our students enjoyed were carnival games such as target shooting, hoops, little fish and many more, and they loved the mechanical bull, the bulldozer and the crazy ladder. They had hours of fun!
One of the most anticipated activities on this day was the dancing number that the parents of each grade performed for their children. They prepared for several weeks rehearsing the choreography and planning costumes, which truly paid off.
This year we had a variety of costumes including Encanto, SpongeBob, Paw Patrol and Sing among others, all very fun and well thought-out.
The closing number was from the 5th grade mums, who sang a special song to their children to say goodbye, as in a few months they will begin their journey in Middle School.
What a joyful and entertaining day it was for our youngest students at ASFC!
Can’t wait for next year’s event!
