On Friday, August 14th our High School Bulldogs were welcomed back to the virtual classroom as we kicked off the 2020/2021 academic year.
During the induction event students were introduced to all their teachers and new classmates, and had the chance to get to know each other better through fun activities and games organized by Mr. Carlos.
Our directors, teachers and IT support team spent the summer working hard on a new digital learning platform, which was proudly presented to our students during their induction. Bulldog World will allow streamlined access to virtual lessons and includes a variety of new features to make digital learning more engaging for both students and teachers.
Students will have a full schedule of classes to look forward to, including some new additions to the curriculum such as U.S. History and College Guidance. 12th graders will soon choose a specific area of study and all options now include new and exciting classes to best prepare them for university in Mexico or abroad.
The new schedule will also include daily advisory sessions with Mr. Emmanuel as a virtual coach, to allow students to clarify any doubts and access personalised help and support.
Through our partnerships with local and international universities our students will be able to access various benefits and scholarships, with the Arkansas State Scholarship already attracting interest from our most talented learners.
We will also continue being a host school for exchange programs, welcoming 2 Italian students to 11th grade in October.
In the hope that travelling will be possible in 2021, students were given a little taste of which class trips they can look forward to, which include a visit to Mexico City and New York.
We were impressed by how our Bulldogs responded to digital learning last year, showing adaptability, resilience and commitment to their education. We are excited to start the 2020/2021 academic year with renewed energy and creative ways to connect with each other.
