On Thursday, December 17th, the ASFC community wrapped up the year with its traditional Winterfest celebrations, bringing together staff, students and parents to mark the start of the winter holiday season.
Due to the current health restrictions, staff and PTA members put together a magnificent event with fun stations for the whole family to enjoy, whilst respecting all the protocols of safe distance, use of masks and avoiding agglomerations.
The entire ASFC grounds were turned into a Winter Wonderland where families could enjoy a drive through Santa’s backyard and the chance to meet all his little helpers. Our teachers prepared different stands where they celebrated Christmas traditions from all around the world, and our music teachers delighted visitors with a beautiful concert of winter tunes.
One of the highlights of the event was Santa’s station, where children were able to drop off their letters and take a photo with the real Santa Claus!
Our student council also got involved and created their own Elf throw game, and we culminated the event with the now traditional ASFC drive-in cinema.
Our PTA representatives were key in making the event a success, a special thank you goes out to them and all the staff and helpers who contributed in making the occasion memorable.
It was yet another fabulous ASFC event, which showcased our values of community, collaboration, innovation and creativity.
We thoroughly enjoyed seeing you all participating, even from a distance, and we hope that in 2021 we will have the opportunity to celebrate the Winterfest all physically together again.
