PRIMARY SCHOOL

DEVELOP YOUR MULTICULTURAL IDENTITY

Your child’s story continues in our Primary school, a time filled with the excitement of having new teachers, studying new subject areas, experimenting with various educational technologies, exploring big concepts and making new friendships.

Following the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Program (PYP), the Primary classrooms are vibrant places of learning where students care about what they learn. They are empowered as readers, writers, critical thinkers and mathematicians to become creative, well-informed, passionate learners and citizens of the world. Our students feel ownership in their classrooms, are respected as individuals, think for themselves and are ready to continue their journey of learning and discovery with joy and passion.

Multicultural Staff prepare you for a World of Opportunities

DEVELOP YOUR OWN IDEAS

We ensure children have a voice in their classrooms, posing questions of interest to them and bringing their individual strengths to the process. Through inquiry and exploration, the PYP program engages students in their learning while continuing to build their fundamental skills in all subject areas.

EXPLORE INTERNATIONAL MINDEDNESS

In Primary school we continue to develop a sense of international mindedness by exploring cultural differences and others’ perceptions and perspectives. Students study 50% of their lessons in English, taught by a multicultural team of educators.

MAKE REAL CONNECTIONS

Students focus on 6 transdisciplinary themes to help them make real and relevant connections across various subject areas. Students develop knowledge and understanding of big ideas, underpinned by traditional subjects like reading, writing, social studies and science. Instead of teaching traditional subject areas in isolation they are tied to bigger concepts making them more meaningful for the students.
